5000 Supporter Gathered In Teluk Chempedak


KUANTAN - A group of 43 NGOs has emerged, expressing its support for Government policies on the Lynas project.
The group, calling itself Gabungan NGO Pahang Mendukung Agenda Untuk Nasional, urged anti-Lynas groups to respect the PSC's findings.

“We hope there will no more aggressive movements to oppose the project as it will affect the country's development,” its co-ordinator Wan Emril Nizam Wan Embong said at a press conference.
Yesterday, they hold an event in Teluk Chempedak to help educate people and create awareness of what Lynas is really doing.

Over 5000 people gathered on the day showing their support not only to Lynas but towards the government decision prior to the PSC.
Wan Emril also told the press that this event were held to help support the government decision on the project itself.

"Other than giving the right information to the public, we also wanted to show the people full support to the government in building up the economic growth hence by planting a tree we called Lynas," he added.
